1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using All About The Woods ("AATW," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who interacts with the service.

2. What We Provide

AATW is a community platform where outdoor enthusiasts can discover locations, plan trips, download offline trail maps, and connect with others who share a love for the wilderness. We provide tools to make planning easier — we are not a travel agency, guide service, or safety authority.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@allaboutthewoods.com.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you post (trip plans, photos, reviews, comments). By posting content, you grant AATW a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of operating the platform.

You agree not to post content that is:

Illegal, harmful, or harassing
False, misleading, or impersonating another person
Spam or commercial solicitation
Infringing on someone else's intellectual property

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice.

5. Outdoor Safety Disclaimer

Outdoor activities carry inherent risks including injury, illness, and death. Information on AATW — including trail data, locations, and trip itineraries — is provided by community members and may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.

You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your group. Always check current conditions, carry appropriate gear, inform someone of your plans, and use your own judgment. AATW does not guarantee the accuracy of any trail or location information.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

AATW offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually as selected). You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

7. Offline Maps

Downloaded offline trail maps are stored on your device for personal, non-commercial use only. Trail and map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and is provided as-is. Do not rely solely on AATW offline maps for navigation in remote areas — always carry a backup.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not use AATW to:

Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data without permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AATW and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including any outdoor activities planned using AATW. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to AATW in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which AATW is headquartered.
