About this site
The Old Faithful Inn, built in 1903 and a member of Historic Hotels of America® since 2012 was designated by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior as a National Historic Landmark in 1987. Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation® for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America. Old Faithful Inn, a rustic-style lodge with a log and wood shingle exterior, is adjacent to the world-famous Old Faithful Geyser.
The original part of the Inn, known as the "Old House" was completed in 1904 and is an icon of national park architecture and
also a National Historic Landmark. The immense lobby rises 76 feet and features a massive stone fireplace and a handcrafted
clock made of copper, wood, and wrought iron. It is the most requested lodging facility in Yellowstone National Park, and
guest accommodations include rooms with private and shared baths. Additionally, a full-service restaurant, deli, gift store, and
interpretive tours are available at the Inn. The Inn is open early May through mid-October. Visit HistoricHotels.org
