About this site
S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is one of the largest fish hatcheries in the world. The hatchery preserves Idaho B-steelhead, which are known for their large size.
Dworshak also produces Chinook and coho salmon. While here, visitors might watch the spawning of fish from the viewing deck; or see other stages of hatchery fish production. Call ahead for a guided tour, or walk around to learn on your own.
Interpretive signs tell the story of the fish, the hatchery, and the Nez Perce. A stop at nearby Dworshak Dam compliments nicely.
