Campsites are nestled amidst Oak groves with views of chaparral and desert for miles with cooler temperatures and wide-spanning views as would be expected at its higher elevation. Trails can be accessed just outside the campground, which connect to all the trails in the greater OHV Area. Each parking spot was designed to accommodate vehicles towing up to 27ft.

Passes can be purchased at the local ranger station in Alpine, or at stores in Pine Valley and Lake Morena.
